The chapter I read from They Say/ I Say was about quotes. I chose to read this chapter because it always takes me a long time to start off my quotes and how to put them into my work. When I put them into my work, I have been running into the problem that they aren’t flowing. In this chapter it gave me many templates like x himself writes, etc… I was able to use some of these new templates for my last essay to make it flow better. Another topic this helped with was explaining my quotes. I have been able to find good quotes to use in my paper, but I always have a hard time explaining my quotes. I either get sidetracked and it’s too broad or I just restate the quote without extra meaning of my own words. I believe that this will have a huge impact on my last paper.
