  1. My first goal is to make my paper organized and keep my ideas together. My second goal is to create a strong thesis statement. Lastly, my third goal is to make my claim connect better with the information in my paragraph.
  2. The steps I plan to take in order to accomplish these goals are to take my time and start with an outline. In the outline I will make a claim for each paragraph. After the outline I will make a free draft with nothing that will hold me back. I will put all of my thoughts even though the ideas might not connect with one another, but after this I will take a break and then make another free draft that includes organization and rework my claims. For the multimodal paper I wait until I finish my rough draft to put into my multimodal elements. Then I will get my paper edited and go back and fix the errors to what I believe is the best the paper will be.
  3. I see my claim sentences as my biggest challenge to accomplish. I see this as my biggest challenge because I struggle with making my sentences short and to the point.
  4. If a challenge comes up that is too difficult to solve on my own, I will reach out for help form my peers and teachers. If they are not available, I will go to the Student Academic success center for help.

    Lucy,
I hope our in-class conversation about momentum will help you build connections between your claims. Your idea to reverse outline is a good one. A reverse outline can help you better assess your overarching argument and/or whether or not you have created the possibility for momentum.
